In the canton of Solothurn the customary dates depend on the district: Olten, Gösgen, Dorneck and Thierstein use 31 March, 30 June and 30 September; the rest of the canton (including Solothurn, Grenchen, Wasseramt, Thal and Gäu) only 31 March and 30 September. The notice dates in your lease take precedence over customary dates; the notice period for flats is at least three months (Art. 266c CO).

Conciliation authorities for tenancy at the district offices (Oberämter)
Conciliation is handled by the district offices (Oberämter) by region: Bucheggberg-Wasseramt/Solothurn-Lebern (Rötistrasse 4, 4502 Solothurn), Olten-Gösgen, Thal-Gäu and Dorneck-Thierstein (all at Amthausquai 23, 4601 Olten). Requests can be filed in writing or online. Panels include tenant and landlord representatives. Conciliation in tenancy matters is free of charge (Art. 113(2)(c) Swiss Civil Procedure Code).
