In the city of Zurich and the districts of Dietikon and Bülach, 31 March and 30 September are the customary dates. In the other districts, 30 June is also customary. Termination dates stated in the lease take precedence over customary dates. The notice period for flats is at least three months (Art. 266c CO).

Joint conciliation authority for tenancy matters at the district court
Each district court has its own joint conciliation authority (a chair plus one tenant and one landlord representative). The authority where the property is located is responsible; the Zurich courts provide a map to find it. Conciliation proceedings in tenancy matters are free of charge (Art. 113 CPC).
