Throughout the canton of Aargau, 31 March, 30 June and 30 September are the customary dates. Termination dates stated in the lease take precedence over customary dates. The notice period for flats is at least three months (Art. 266c CO).

Conciliation authority for tenancy at the district court
The conciliation authorities for tenancy are organised by district and have been attached to the district courts since 2013. Proceedings start with a conciliation request (form available from the canton) and are informal. Conciliation proceedings in tenancy matters are free of charge (Art. 113 CPC).
